Deputy Washburn began his career in law enforcement in the State of California. He then worked in the State of New York as a sheriff’s deputy before getting hired with the Vermont State Police. Deputy Washburn retired from the State Police as a Sergeant after serving as a road trooper, a patrol commander, an arson investigator and a detective. Deputy Washburn has returned to law enforcement with the RCSD and is currently assigned as a general duties deputy, working road patrol, courts and other functions. Deputy Washburn's many years of experience in law enforcement is a great asset to the RCSD.
