Description: On 7/24/2010 at 2021 hours Rutland County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Pleasant Street in West Rutland. Preliminary investigation revealed that Operator #1 (Johnson) was operating his vehicle north on Pleasant Street above the posted speed limit, without headlights on after dark. Operator #2 (Hughes) was entering Pleasant Street from Pleasant Heights. Operator #1 (Johnson) struck the side of Operator #2's (Hughes) vehicle as she pulled into Pleasant Street. Operator #1 (Johnson) was found to be at fault for the crash and also found to be operating under the influence of alcohol. He was screened for DUI and transported to the RCDS for DUI processing where he provided a breath sample well over the legal limit of .08 %. He was cited to Rutland Superior Court, Criminal Division for DUI and Negligent Operation. He was also issued several traffic tickets. Neither operator received injuries during this crash.

Description: On 7/28/2010 at approximately 2010 hours, Sgt. Stephenson responded to an intoxicated person complaint near Franklin's Bar on North Street in Proctor. During the investigation, it was discovered that the accused had consumed alcohol at the bar, left the bar while driving a vehicle, then returned to the bar driving a vehicle to pick up a friend. He was screened for impairment and taken into custody for DUI. After he was processed for he was released on a citation to appear at Rutland Superior Court, Criminal Division to answer to the charge.

Evans was arrested for 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault for an incident involving his ex-girlfriend in the parking lot of the gas station. He was lodged at MVRCF for lack of $5,000 bail.

VIOLATION:
Cultivation of Marijuana (Felony)Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor)
ACCUSED: Randy A. Walker
AGE:44
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 7/14/2010 the RCSD began an investigation into a drug possession by the
accused at the above location. Enough evidence was gathered to obtain a search
warrant. A search warrant was granted for the property and on 7/15/2010 Deputies
responded to the above address to execute the warrant. During the search,
several marijuana plants were recovered and seized from the residence. Walker
was cited for felony marijuana cultivation and will appear in court at a later
date.
Anyone with information on marijuana growing in Rutland County is asked to call
the Rutland County Sheriff's Department at 802-775-8002 or the Vermont State
Police.
