DATE: May 29th 2024 at 1447 hours
LOCATION: Walgreen's / 294 Main Street - West Rutland, VT
INVESTIGATING OFFICER: Corporal Gregory Ricketts - Rutland County Sheriff's Department

DEFENDANT: Juvenile
CITY & STATE OF RESIDENCE: West Rutland, VT
CHARGES: Retail Theft - Title 13 VSA 2575

DESCRIPTION: On the above date and time, Corporal Ricketts was dispatched to a reported retail theft that occurred on May 28th, 2024 at the Walgreens Store in the Town of West Rutland. Subsequent investigation and interviews revealed that a juvenile entered the store and left without paying for the merchandise.

On July 24th 2024, the juvenile was located in Rutland City where he was arrested and released on a citation to appear at the Rutland Superior Court - Family Division to answer to the charge of Retail Theft.
