Update 4: Flanders in Protective Custody in Missouri

Rutland, VT – Jessica Flanders, age 31 of Fair Haven, has been located and taken into protective custody in Dixon, Missouri. Jessica was contacted on a traffic stop in Dixon. Jessica is alive and well. Contact has been established with Jessica’s family, advising of the development. Arrangements are being made to return Jessica to family and her legal guardians in Vermont.



As of this writing no criminal charges have been filed; however the case is considered open and under investigation. As updates become available, a press release will be issued.



The Rutland County Sheriff, Vermont State Police, and cooperating agencies appreciate the help and support of the media and community.
