Description:

On 10/21/11 the RCSD and Vermont State Police were dispatched to 2612 Pinnacle Ridge/ US Route 7 Rutland Town for two males that had kicked open a front door on a house sand had made there way inside. Members of the Vermont State Police were first on scene and took the two men into custody. Custody was turned over to the Rutland County Sheriff’s Office for investigation.

Further investigation revealed an attempted burglary had taken place but was stopped by area law enforcement. Over $500.00 dollars in damages was caused to the residence whose previous owner was deceased.

Both Brown and Smyrski were lodged at the Marble Valley Correctional facility for a lack of $25,000 dollars bail. The pair were scheduled to appear at Rutland Superior Court, Criminal Division to answer to the charges of Burglary on October 22, 2013.
